  • 1.  Can you have a report link field filter when filling in a form?

When a user is creating a task, there is desirable information in the project table. One project can have many task. Currently to view the desirable information, I created a report in the project table, and used a report link field in the task form to display it. Though, the report only populates when the task is created, I want to to view the information while creating the task. I'm doing this to avoid creating extra relationships for references and proxy fields. So, is there a way to have the whole report displayed, then filter dynamically when filling in the form?

Not sure I follow your request.  Can you clarify a bit?

If you launch the Add Task off the Project record so the [Related Project] belated win the four loads, I believe that the report link field will also populate in Add Mode.

But if you are starting at the task table and selecting a project from a drop-down list then you are correct, the report link field will not populate until the record is first populated

Sorry, bad iPhone typing, and after a "like" it is no longer editable ....

If you launch the Add Task off the Project record so the [Related Project] loads when the form loads, I believe that the report link field will also populate in Add Mode.

For the time being, I'll just use text look up fields as I can get all the same information,
    Thank you!
